There are several long stretches – avoid the tendency to exceed the speed limit in some of these areas like Sandhill and Double R Roads which may not have a lot of traffic. Practice Route #1: It’s primary route is very straightforward, mostly wide, easy to navigate streets with good visibility to traffic controls, intersections and crosswalks. There are additional rural DMVs in Northern Nevada which limit their services to local residents only. The Reno and Carson City DMVs provide all services including new driver road tests. Reno is one of the two full service DMVs in Northern Nevada.
